The finale of the Porsche Sports Cup and the Sports Car Together Day with many live acts offered the worthy setting. There were 70,000 visitors with 9,000 Porsche vehicles from all over Germany and neighboring countries. Nach 18 Monaten seit Vertragsunterzeichnung und 12 Monate nach der Grundsteinlegung war es endlich soweit. The first large-scale project of the emodrom group on the traditional race track Hockenheimring was opened by the future tenant Porsche with a great supporting program.
Customers and fans of the brand expect a new handling course, dynamic areas and a wide range of activities on more than 170,000m² of space. The new multifunctional building impresses with a modern architecture and great offers in the middle of the Motodrom. Motorsport to touch and experience up close!
“After presenting my concept for the strategic development of the Hockenheimring to the city of Hockenheim and the Hockenheim-Ring GmbH in 2012, nobody could really imagine how the transformation to a mobility center could look like in the end. My dream partner for this first project was Porsche, because the DNA of the brand simply suits us and it is a great success to have the best sports car manufacturer here in Nordbaden with such a commitment as a local partner.
I would like to thank the representatives of the city of Hockenheim as well as the decision makers at Porsche, for the confidence placed in my team and me. First and foremost I would like to thank my friend and co-partner Tim Brauer, who has delivered a great job with really all employees as well as those responsible at Porsche. Only with the right spirit, the necessary vision and perseverance, such projects can be successfully brought to their destination.
For me personally, it has always been a unique privilege and daily motivation to be able to implement the ideas in such a traditional location together with my colleagues, our entire team and the employees of Hockenheim-Ring GmbH. That’s why I’m looking forward to further steps here at the Ring, “says Thomas Reister, founder and CEO of the emodrom-group, which works as an investor and project planner at the Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg.
