Lions Club as a guest at the emodrom at the Hockenheimring

After the current Corona regulation allowed it again, the Lions Club Hockenheim was able to accept the invitation from emodrom founder Thomas Reister and obtain first-hand information in the Baden-Württemberg Center about the transformation process of the traditional race track into a mobility center.

In his lecture, the emodrom boss explained to his interested guests the process of modernization and the development of new business areas on the traditional racetrack that had been initiated since 2012 together with Hockenheim-Ring GmbH and the city.

The current crisis situation, which has hit the Hockenheimring and its employees with full force due to the failure of all events in the last few weeks, shows how existential and without alternatives the new emodrom business areas are due to stable rental and lease income for the ring.

After the lecture, the visitors took the chance to ask their numerous questions to the host in order to get a comprehensive picture of the projects of the emodrom group.

“I am finally happy to welcome visitors here again, of course in compliance with the current Corona rules. Today it has been shown again, as so often, that the citizens are interested in the Hockenheimring and form their own opinion on site, an extremely positive impression of the work we have successfully done here and encourage us to further advance this process, ” says Thomas Reister.

“Good to know that there are concepts and strategies for the continuation of the Hockenheim Ring operations – even without Formula 1 and DTM. History, tradition and future are combined. It would be nice if alternative energies would come even more into focus”.

Dieter Rückert, 2nd Vice President

“I thought it was great that by converting the Motodrom into a world of adventure, the ring was breathing new life.
In addition, you make yourself more independent of the mega-events “.

Rudiger Saam

“It was very interesting for me to find out how the private engagement of Mr. Reister and his partners can make the ring fit for the future. The approach to the future of the automotive future is not based solely on electric vehicles with batteries, but on all others Shapes, such as hydrogen, will also be in focus “.
